What you will Need:
- Popcorn
- White construction paper
- Black and orange construction paper
- Elmers glue
- Scissors
- Salt
- Additional construction paper in any color
What to do:
- Draw three circles on the white construction paper in sizes that go from small to large. The smallest circle should be about 2 inches wide. The medium circle about 3 inches and the largest circle 4 inches in diameter. Cut the circles out!
- Draw a square that is about 1.5 inches on all sides onto the black construction paper. Draw a rectangle that is 1 cm by 3 inches long on the black paper as well. This will form the hat for the snowman.
- Draw two small circles onto the black paper to create the snowman’s eyes. And draw a small triangle onto orange paper to form the nose, a mouth on red.
- Cut all of the shapes out for the children in advance before beginning the project so that the preschool children will not have to wait for you to get the craft ready.
- Glue the three white circles onto a piece of construction paper from smallest on top to largest on the bottom to form the outline of a snowman.
- Glue the black rectangle 1/3 of the way down the top circle to create the snowman’s hat. Then glue the square just above the rectangle.
- Glue popcorn all over the white construction paper circles to make a snowman.
- Glue the two black circles onto the top for the eyes and then glue on the nose and the mouth.
- Fill in the background paper with drawings of trees and outside elements.
- Brush picture with glue and then shake salt all over. Shake off the excess salt and allow to dry thoroughly.
